Washington County Democrats hold dinner

MARIETTA — The annual Washington County Democratic Party Spring Dinner was held Saturday evening at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Marietta.

There was a feeling of energy fresh off the “March For Our Lives” rally in Marietta earlier in the day and across the nation in support of doing something about safety in schools. Many in attendance at the dinner felt a sense of energy and hope, feeling that getting involved can make a difference. ...

“I can feel the energy in the room. A lot of Democrats are very excited this year. I’m excited too and I’ve been seeing this energy all over the state,” said Zack Space, a candidate for State Auditor.

“I’ve made a commitment that we do away with gerrymandering. That has divided us and rendered government dysfunctional. The auditor position is also the government watchdog so I would use that power to shine a light on the corruptive influence of money on the creation of policy,” said Space. “Money and greed have corrupted our process and our process is not working for Ohioans and Americans. I’m committed to trying to fix it.”
